The Panasonic G5 is a full-featured Micro 4/3rds mirrorless camera based around a 16.05MP Live MOS sensory, providing high quality images with fast contrast-detection autofocus performance. It offers an ISO range of 160-12800, utilizing Panasonic’s Venus Images Processing Engine with advanced 3DNR and Multi-Process NR that provides low-noise images with minimal image degradation. It’s capable of shooting up to 6fps in continuous mode, with a Touch AF mode making locking onto moving subjects very easy. With its built-in 1,440K electronic viewfinder and 3.0" 920K articulating rear LCD, you have the flexibility of shooting from multiple perspectives.
On the G5, Panasonic included previously unseen zoom-rocker switch designed for video shooting. When not shooing video, the function lever can be programed for other uses. Speaking of video, the G5 records up to full HD 1080/60P video in AVCHD or MP4 formats. Other notable additions to the G5 are a fully silent Electronic Shutter mode, highly responsive touch-screen rear LCD, and numerous in-camera filters and shooting modes. It’s powered via rechargeable lithium-ion battery that’s rated at roughly 310 shots per charge, and records its high quality JPG, RAW and video files to SDHC / XC memory cards.
