Cine-Focused CP Filter. The 4 × 4 Schneider Circular True-Pol Circular Polarizer Filter is a CP filter that’s especially great for cine applications. Unlike the standard True-Pol polarizing filter, this filter prevents viewfinder blackout when used with cameras that have polarizing elements in their viewing systems’ beam-splitters.

Common Uses. Circular Polarizer filters are commonly used to increase color and tonal saturation in footage of skies and foliage, and to decrease haze when you’re shooting distant landscapes. They reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that’s become polarized by reflecting off of a non-metallic surface.
