The Canon PowerShot G5 X is a large-sensor bridge camera that blurs the line between a compact camera and a DSLR. Looking for an updated version? Check out the Canon PowerShot G5 X Mark II. Key features include:
20.2MP 1" CMOS Sensor. The Powershot G5 X features the Canon HS System combining a large 1.0-inch sensor and powerful DiG!C 6 image processor. This system enhances low-light performance, reduces image noise, and pushes the top sensitivity level to ISO 12800. The G5 X also features impressive image-capture speed, shooting at nearly 6 fps in one-shot autofocus or 4.4 fps with continuous autofocus.
Fast-Aperture Lens. With a 24-100mm f/1.8-2.8 equivalent lens after sensor-crop factor, the G5 X covers the wide to telephoto/portrait range with a fast aperture for shallow depth-of-field control. Additionally, the in-lens image stabilization combines with the fast aperture to ensure low-light won’t keep you from shooting.
Improved Image View. The G5 X adds a built-in 2.36m-dot electronic viewfinder providing a high-res, wide-gamut eye-level monitor with 100% frame coverage. The 3.0-inch touchscreen LCD offers intuitive settings control and menu navigation, and its multi-angle design allows easy viewing at high and low angles.
