Canon RF Mount. The Canon RF 85mm f/2 Macro IS STM belongs to Canon’s line of RF-mount lenses. It’s compatible with RF cameras, such as the EOS R / EOS RP / EOS R5 / EOS R6. It does not work with Canon EF-mount cameras.

Versatile 1:2 Macro. This unique lens’s combination of short-telephoto versatility, 1:2 macro magnification, and a 1.15-foot minimum focusing distance make it great for a range of applications including portrait, event and macro photography. Its bright f/2 aperture and rounded nine-blade diaphragm give you great low-light shooting capability and shallow depth of field.

Advanced Optics. This lens’s eleven-group/twelve-element optical formula includes one UD (Ultra low Dispersion) element that minimizes aberrations while ensuring clarity.

Built-In Autofocus. This lens uses a ring-type Stepping Motor to provide fast, accurate, and nearly silent autofocus performance for both still and video shooters. You also get full-time manual-focus override for precision adjustments.

Optical Image Stabilization. The RF 85mm f/2’s built-in image stabilizer compensates for five stops of camera shake, so that you can shoot in lower light at slower shutter speeds without worry. To further improve macro performance, the lens also has a Hybrid IS setting that compensates for angular and shift-type camera movements to specifically benefit close-up shooting.

Control Ring. A configurable Control Ring can be used to adjust a variety of exposure settings, including aperture, ISO, and exposure compensation.
