Optical Image Stabilization. The built-in optical image stabilizer offers up to four stops of correction on its own, making it excellent for hand-held photography and shooting in low light. When you pair this lens with an EOS-R camera that has in-body image stabilization, the Coordinated IS features gives you up to six stops of correction for even greater performance without the need to up the ISO or decrease shutter speed.

Stepping Motor Autofocus System. The RF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM‘s built-in stepping autofocus motor provides fast and smooth continuous performance for both still and video shooting. It also offers full-time manual focus adjustment, so it’s particularly well-suited for close-up shooting. The seven-blade diaphragm helps contribute to pleasing, rounded bokeh.

Lightweight, Compact Build. This lens weighs just over 1/3 of a pound and measures a mere 2.7 × 1.8 inches, so you can comfortably use it on extended hand-held shoots and fit it into most camera bags.
