The Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8 Di VC USD is a previous gen. fast-aperture ultra-wide zoom for Canon. Its direct replacement is the Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8 SP Di VC USD G2 for Canon. Key features include:
Ultra-Wide Angle Zoom. The Tamron 15-30mm offers full-frame coverage, enabling you to capture up to a 110° angle of view.
Fast Aperture. The speedy f/2.8 aperture allows great low-light flexibility and depth-of-field control.
Vibration Compensation. The in-lens stabilizer helps to minimize camera shake when shooting at slower shutter speeds. Combined with the very fast aperture, this gives the Tamron 15-30mm the upper-hand in low-light performance over Canon and Nikon’s offerings.
Pro-Grade Performance. The thirteen-group/eighteen-element design features a single “eXpanded Glass Molded Aspherical” element and several low-dispersion elements that help to combat geometrical distortion and lateral chromatic aberrations for optimum corner-to-corner sharpness throughout the zoom range.
