High-Quality Construction. We stock standard consumer-grade UV filters, but for those wanting better quality, we stock Chiaro thin-profile filters.
Polished Schott Optical Glass. These filters boast Schott optical glass that’s polished for flatness that guarantees high light transmission and superlative optical quality. There are scratch-, water-, and oil-resistant multi-coatings on each side of the glass to protect the filters from the elements, and to prevent internal ghosting and reflections while providing 99% light transmission.
Thin-Profile Filter Ring. These filters’ slim-profile, low-reflection brass rings markedly reduce the probability of vignetting with wide-angle lenses.
Please Note: These are rather expensive and delicate filters. If taken into harsh conditions, like blowing sand, they will scratch and pit and we will charge you for the replacement when the filter returns. We understand a small hairline scratch may occur and don’t consider that your fault, but a badly scratched filter is useless.
