The Fuji X-T30 II is a compact, high-quality multimedia camera, and a slight update to the X-T30. Key features include:
Expanded memory and improved LCD resolution
Updated phase-detection autofocus system
26.1MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor
UHD and DCI 4K video capture
What’s Changed? The Fuji X-T30 II marks a slight update to its predecessor, the X-T30. It boasts a higher-resolution, 1.68m-dot LCD; enhanced autofocus performance; and additional memory, which brings its performance up to the level of the higher-end X-T4.
26.1MP X-Trans CMOS Sensor. The X-T30 II’s X-Trans 4 sensor boasts a back-illuminated design and a randomized pixel array that promote high image quality throughout its normal ISO range of 160-12,800. In addition to facilitating exceptional low-light use, the X-Processor 4 Engine also supercharges operation speed. Image processing, startup time, shutter lag, and general navigation have all been greatly reduced, while maximum continuous shooting increases to 30 fps.
UHD and DCI 4K Video. The X-T30 II isn’t just a fantastic still camera; it also has a range of video capabilities. You get internal UHD and DCI 4K30p with 1080p120 video recording for super slow-mo, and you can record clean, uncompressed HDMI output with 10-bit 4:2:2 color. You can handle color in post using the F-Log Gamma or by choosing from any number of Fuji’s film simulations and grain effects.
Phase-Detection Autofocus System. This camera’s improved 425-point phase-detection autofocus system provides fast, accurate performance across the entire frame in a wide range of lighting conditions down to EV -7. Face and eye-detection autofocus maintain accurate tracking when you’re shooting portraits from the front or side, and face and eye-detection AF work in AF-C mode.
Touchscreen LCD and OLED EVF. The 3.0-inch, 1.68m-dot rear touchscreen LCD features a two-way tilt mechanism for a better view. And there’s a wide 2.36m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder with 0.62x magnification that remains blackout-free even when you’re shooting up 30 fps. The EVF includes a Sports Finder mode, which marks a 16.6MP sensor-crop area so you can monitor your subject’s movement just outside the shooting frame.
Ergonomics and Build. This camera’s top plate includes a shutter speed dial for direct adjustment, a mode dial, and an exposure-compensation dial that lets you select +/- 3 EV in 1/3 steps. A command dial position expands that range to +/- 5 for more control. Front and rear command dials integrate a push function, you can assign a range of settings to the function buttons, and you get a joystick for quick autofocus-point selection. The magnesium-build body is sealed to protect against dust, moisture, and the cold. The X-T30 II is powered by an NP-W126S battery and boasts one UHD-I compatible SD-card slot. If you find the X-T30 II too small for your liking, we offer the Fuji Metal Hand Grip for X-T30 / X-T20 to beef it up a little bit.
