Media Options. The GoPro Media Mod for HERO8 Black gives your HERO8 Black additional mic, accessory, and video outputs. Its wraparound design means you’ll still have access to the camera’s screens and tripod mount. Please note that the touchscreen is inactive when an HDMI source is plugged in, so you’ll have to control the camera through the app.

Audio Expansion. This mod includes a built-in directional mic that combats ambient noise and wind. It also includes a 3.5mm external-mic input.

Accessory Expansion. You get two cold shoes for accessory mounting and an HDMI output port for video monitoring and playback.

Compatibility. The Media Mod is required if you want to use the Display Mod, which is available as a separate rental item. The Media Mod is also compatible with select third-party accessories.
