The Ikan Elite V2 Teleprompter is a 15mm LWS rail-mounted teleprompter that is compatible with a wide variety of cameras, tablets, and support setups. Key features include:
Scientific-grade 70/30 glass
Bundled remote (iPad only)
Compatible with all tablets from 5 × 7.5 to 8 × 10.5”
Mounts to tripods, light stands, 15mm rails, or directly to compact cameras
Scientific-Grade Glass. The beamsplitter on the Ikan Elite V2 is made from 70/30 glass that is manufactured in the US and meets scientific standards. This means that it’s smoother, more durable, and more purely transparent than cheaper types of glass. All that adds up to sharper text on the screen side and no noticeable image degradation on the camera side.
Compatible With Most Tablets. The Elite V2 works with tablets rather than a built-in monitor, making it both more affordable and easier to work with than a more traditional teleprompter. No more plugging a computer into a monitor and using proprietary software to edit scripts and control playback. Tablet teleprompter apps allow you to easily adjust settings and edit scripts. Many even allow control through bluetooth remotes or smartphones. If you’ve got your own tablet you can use, great. If not, our Apple iPad Mini 5 and iPad Pro are compatible. You’ll just have to purchase and download your own teleprompter app.
Various Mounting Options. Camera sizes and weights vary widely from shoot to shoot, so it’s important for any teleprompter to be able to accommodate different setups. Luckily, the Ikan Elite V2 is remarkably flexible. The built-in mounting plate will work with small DSLRs up to medium cinema cameras like the C300. For larger rigs, you can mount the teleprompter straight to a separate tripod or light stand.
Bundled Remote. The included Ikan Universal Remote is somewhat inaccurately-named, because it’s only compatible with iPads. If you’re working with that particular tablet, though, it’s a handy accessory. The remote will allow you to control playback speed, turn pages, and even includes a laser pointer for presentation use. You’ll need a compatible app to work with the remote (and the teleprompter in general), but there are plenty of affordable ones available. We recommend Teleprompter Premium.
