The Leica M10-P is a high-quality digital rangefinder still camera with enhanced imaging capabilities and a nearly silent shutter. Key features include:
Touchscreen controls and nearly silent shutter
24MP Leica full-frame CMOS sensor
Maestro II image processor
0.73x optical viewfinder magnification
What’s Changed? The Leica M10-P has a few key advantages over the M10. Most notably, it’s the first M-series camera with a touchscreen, which gives you more intuitive control over focus position in Live View and Playback modes, and easier photo browsing during Playback. Its barely audible shutter is the quietest of any M-series camera, and Leica has removed the red dot from this camera’s face, both of which make an already stealthy design even less obtrusive.
Back to Basics. Compared to its M-series predecessors, the Leica M10-P features a pared-back feature set that’s exclusively focused on high-quality still photography. Its elegant, minimalist physical design makes it simple to use.
24MP CMOS Sensor and Maestro II Processor. The redeveloped 24MP CMOS sensor pairs with the Maestro II image processor to produce a wide dynamic range that takes full advantage of the best of the Leica M-mount lenses. You get greatly improved sensitivity from ISO 100-50,000 for stellar performance in a range of lighting conditions. The M10 shoots up to 5 fps in continuous mode, with a 2 GB built-in RAM buffer enabling up to 40 consecutive frames in a burst.
Optical Viewfinder and Rangefinder. The large, bright-line rangefinder-coupled viewfinder provides 0.73x magnification with automatic parallax compensation and brightline frame lines, which match the image sensor’s size at a 6.6-foot focusing distance.
Built-In Wi-Fi. The built-in Wi-Fi module lets you share images directly to linked smartphones, and enables remote option adjustment and shutter control via the Leica M app.
Classic Design. The M10-P features a slimmed-down body profile that’s similar in design to Leica’s film cameras. Its magnesium-alloy chassis and brass top and bottom plates make this camera truly durable, while rubber seals protect it when you’re working in less-than-stellar conditions.
