Aluminum 3-Leg Tripod. One of the two main components of this Manfrotto 290 Xtra Tripod/MH804 Head Kit is the 3-legged aluminum 290 Xtra Tripod. This tripod system can extend from it’s shortest height at 12 inches all the way to 63.2 inches, and each of the 3 legs are provided with convenient flip locks to secure the height you choose. Four adjustable leg angles open you to a variety of positioning options.
Pan-and-Tilt Head. The Manfrotto MH804 Head is a durable and lightweight pan-and-tilt head designed to support up to 22 pounds of gear. This tripod head provides you with a bubble level to ensure your gear is evenly mounted, and can be easily attached to support systems with a 3/8"-16 mount. As for pan/tilt functions, the MH804 can rotate 360°, tilt 90° forwards or 30° backwards, as well as 90° sideways for portrait orientation.
Handles and QR Plate. On the head, you’ll find two telescopic control handles that are used to adjust and lock in the pan and tilt. To ensure smooth control when working with heavier loads, the MH804 offers integrated counterbalance springs. We also include the compatible 200LT-PL Quick Release Plate, which hosts a 1/4"-20 mount to attach your gear to.
