Wider focal length and increased aperture
Electronic communication with the camera
What’s New? The Metabones Canon EF to Blackmagic Pocket Cam Speed Booster T features improved internal flocking for reduced internal reflections compared to the previous version.
Canon EF Compatibility. This adapter was designed specifically for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera, but also works with the Blackmagic Design Micro Cinema Camera and Micro Studio Camera 4K. It enables you to use Canon EF-mount lenses on the compatible cameras listed previously. Please note that you can’t mount Canon EF-S lenses on this adapter.
Wider Focal Length and Increased Aperture. This BMPCC version of the Speed Booster widens the focal length of the lens mounted by 0.58x, effectively reducing the overall sensor crop factor from 3.02x to 1.75×. Additionally, the adapter increases the mounted lens’s maximum aperture by 1 2/3 stops, with a maximum output aperture of f/0.74.
Electronic Communication. The adapter’s mount has electric contacts that allow you to use compatible lenses’ aperture-control and image-stabilization functions. The adapter doesn’t require a separate power source, and EXIF data is transferred and embedded into your footage. Recent firmware updates post-release have enabled some form of autofocus with compatible lenses. However, it’s very unreliable and we can’t guarantee it’s usability.
Sturdy Design with Built-In Tripod Foot. The aluminum barrel and brass mounts give it a solid feel, with an Arca-Swiss compatible tripod foot that lets you mount the adapter itself directly to a tripod. This ensures the lens’s weight doesn’t put additional stress on the camera’s mount.
