The used NewTek TriCaster Advanced Edition 3 Mini HD-4SDI Switcher is a compact & powerful multi-camera video production solution for recording, streaming, and IP / SDI switching with integrated playback and graphics control. Key features include:
TriCaster Reliability. The name TriCaster is used in much the same way as Kleenex and Band-Aid. We’ve heard TriCaster used to describe any number of devices that switch live video signals, but the ubiquity is earned by a decades-long lineage of switching hardware used by the best-of-the-best live productions and studios. The highly capable, feature-rich NewTek TriCaster Advanced Edition 3 Mini HD-4SDI Switcher puts that power in anyone’s hands, complete with a hardware control surface for tactile and accurate control.
HD Switching & Recording. The Mini HD-4 SDI can switch and record up to 1080/30p or 1080/60i video. The unit features 1.5TBs of internal storage for recording one H.264, distribution-ready file and four QuickTime channels with 4:2:2 encoding and timecode. Files can also be captured by external hard drives using USB 3.0.
Digital and Network Video I/O. This switcher is optimized for IP video via NDI but also features four dedicated SDI digital video inputs, two SDI outputs, and two HDMI outputs – one for display, and a second for interface/multiview. The TriCaster Mini Advanced accepts up to eight video inputs using any combination of compatible sources. Independent video mix outputs can be configured for delivering IP and digital video simultaneously.
Dual Platform Live Streaming. Thanks to the AE3 upgrade, the HD-4SDI delivers multiple destination live streaming using simple presets for popular streaming platforms like Facebook Live and Youtube Live or over a custom connection. In addition to live streaming, this Mini with the Advanced Edition 3 upgrade allows you to share media through multiple user accounts when connected to the same network and export content to social media sites like Vimeo.
Small but Mighty Production Package. Despite being small in size, the TriCaster Mini Advanced doesn’t skimp on the features that count to live productions. Studio-standard tools like audio routing and level control, macro automation, and integrated waveform and vectorscope signal monitoring with digital calibration deliver the performance of a control room, in a desktop form factor.
