The used Nikon KeyMission 170 4K Action Camera is a UHD action camera. Key features include:
A True Warrior Camera. The KeyMission 170 is waterproof down to 33 ft. without the need for an external case. It’s shockproof at about 6.5 ft., and the rugged sealed construction works great at keeping out dust and the cold.
Minimalist Design. The lack of a case means better picture and sound with less plastic stacking up between the lens/mic and their sources.
4K UHD Video. The video options for the KeyMission 170 are a laundry list of resolutions and frame rates including 4K UHD up to 30p, 1080 up to 120p, and 720 at 240p for 10x slow motion. There’s also built-in Vibration reduction in 1080 and 720 modes.
Super-Wide Angle Lens. The lens on the KM170 is a super-wide angle 170° field of view, or the equivalent of a 15mm in 35mm terms. It’s got a relatively fast f/2.8 aperture and minimum focus distance of around 16". The lens carries the Nikkor pedigree with an all glass construction.
Other Notables. Other important notables on the camera include a 1.5" rear display for framing and menu control, as well as playback functions. The battery life is rated at 110 minutes for video recording and around 250 shots for stills, which are all stored on MicroSD cards. Remote control and playback is possible through Nikon’s app for Android and iOS smart devices, and for tethered monitoring, there’s a Micro HDMI port.
