Supports Nikon i-TTL & CLS. Automatically ensures proper exposure and color balance, with more advanced control set by the camera body. The SB-500 also fully supports Nikon’s CLS wireless flash system, allowing it to be used as the master or slave flash.
Fixed 24mm Coverage. Enables flash coverage for lenses as wide as 24mm on full-frame, or 16mm on crop-frame.
GN79. The SB-500 offers a guide number of 79 feet at ISO 100. Its 90° tilting 180º rotating head provides user flexibility to bounce flash.
Video Light. The integrated 100-lux LED light is perfect for fill when shooting video. There are three output levels to choose from, and a diffusion panel for softening the light.
AA Powered. The SB-500 is powered by two AA batteries (not included) and gives you about 100 flashes with alkaline batteries/140 flashes with rechargeable Ni-MH batteries. Depending on the batteries you use, it has recycle time of 3.5 to 30 seconds.
