Wide to Short Tele Zoom. With a focal range equivalent to 28-84mm after sensor crop, the Panasonic 14-42mm covers the wide to short tele/portrait focal range, making it a good general purpose lens. The f/3.5-5.6 variable aperture doesn’t give much flexibility for low light shooting, so you’ll probably want to only use in outdoor daylight conditions.
