Telephoto Zoom. With a focal length equivalent to 105-300mm after crop-factor, the Pentax HD D FA 70-200mm f/2.8 ED DC AW is ideal for fast-moving sports, wildlife, and nature photography. The f/2.8 aperture provides great low-light performance with a minimal effect on focus speed.
Direct-Current Autofocus and Quick-Shift Focus. The direct-current motor offers fast, nearly silent autofocus performance with an internal-focusing design. The Quick-Shift Focus System gives you full-time manual focusing for quick adjustment. There are four dedicated autofocus buttons for programming focus presets, and a focus-range limiter improves focus performance when strictly shooting subjects at a great distance.
Optics. Extra-low dispersion glass elements minimize chromatic aberrations throughout the zoom range while maximizing image clarity with edge-to-edge sharpness. Pentax’s HD coatings reduce reflections and lens flare, and Super Protect coatings on the front and rear elements repel dust, water, and oils.
High-Quality Build. The 70-200mm features thirteen distinct seals to shield against the elements. A removable, rotating tripod ring provides tripod and monopod users a stable mounting point, and the included lens hood helps to eliminate lens flare.
