The Photek Softlighter reflects light from a large umbrella and through a diffuser which projects a very soft, even light onto your subject.

Unique Ten-Panel Design. By using ten panels instead of eight found on octaboxes, the Softlighter creates a more perfectly rounded light source. Not only does this improve light shaping, but it also creates a more attractive catchlight for portraits.

Multiple Uses. The Photek Softlighter is very versatile. By removing the black cover and reversing the direction, you can use it as a shoot-through umbrella for fill light or as an alternative main light source.

Easy Setup. You don’t have to worry about using speed rings or somewhat finicky setups here. Just mount your speedlight on a light stand with the adapter, open the umbrella, attach the diffuser, and slide the rod through the light-stand adapter with your flash going through the slot in the diffuser and you’re ready to shoot.
