Working Photographer’s Bread and Butter. When used on a full-frame camera, the Sigma 24-70mm Art provides a fast-aperture, wide to short tele focal range that’s perfect for portrait and event photography. Using an APS-C sensor camera? You’ll have a focal length equivalent to 38.4-112mm. The fast f/2.8 aperture offers shallow depth-of-field capability, as well as allowing you to keep shooting even in low light.
High-Quality Optics. As a part of Sigma’s Art lens line, this new 24-70 Art is subjected to rigorous testing to ensure high image quality with a optical build that includes 19 elements in 14 groups. Four aspherical elements help to eliminate distortion and spherical aberrations. Three Special Low Dispersion elements correct for chromatic aberrations and color fringing while ensuring high image sharpness, clarity, and contrast. The Super Multi-Layer Coating minimizes lens flare and ghosting, helping to provide high contrast in strong lighting.
Steady Hands, Fast Focus The O.S. system reduces camera shake making for sharper imagery when shooting handheld. The autofocus system provides fast, smooth, and quiet operation in a broad range of shooting situations. You can also manually override the autofocus motor at any time by rotating the focusing ring, giving you quick fine-tuning ability.
Sigma Dock Compatibility. This lens is compatible with the Sigma USB Dock for Canon EF Lenses (separate rental item), allowing you to adjust certain parameters through the Sigma Optimization Pro software.
Other Notables. Sigma’s Art 24-70 is weather sealed, making with dust and splash resistant. Made with a Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) material, gives the 24-70 greater precision and allows for use in wide array temperature situations. A nine-blade rounded aperture helps to make for some creamy, smooth bokeh.
