The REDMAG 1.8-inch Side SSD Module is a proprietary SSD module required for recording with REDMAG 1.8-inch SSDs. Key features include:
Designed For REDMAG Format. This small memory format is targeted for use with the data rate of the previous-generation DSMC RED Scarlet-X Brain, but can also be used with the RED Epic-X Brain. The REDMAG format isn’t compatible with RED DSMC2 brains and Mini-Mag accessories.
Limited Compatibility. If you’re shooting higher frame rates and resolutions, or if you’re planning on using the RED Epic Dragon / Scarlet Dragon, you should consider the RED Mini-Mag SSD Format instead.
Controls and Input. This side SSD module features two user-defined keys, a record button, and an input for connecting a RED Touch LCD monitor. The module attaches to the side of the RED brain via four M3 screws.
