360° 3840 × 1920 4K video capture
51GB of internal memory
Compact 4K 360° Camera. The Ricoh THETA Z1 51GB 360 boasts dual 23MP CMOS sensors and two wide-angle lenses that let you record or livestream 360° 4K or 2K video, and let you take 23MP stills in RAW, JPEG, or both at the same time. The camera captures two wide-angle images and automatically stitches them together into a single image using a revised processing algorithm. Automatic dynamic-range compensation minimizes blown-out highlights and increases details in shadowy areas.
Dual-Lens Optical Design. Each of the THETA Z1’s two wide-angle lenses has a ten-group/fourteen-element optical design that helps combat ghosting, flares, and fringing for maximum accuracy. This lens system lets you select f/2.1, f/3.5, and f/5.6 apertures to increased your depth of field and resolution.
Battery Life and Recording Capacities. This camera is equipped with an internal, rechargeable battery that provides up to one hour of continuous video recording or 300 stills. The 51GB internal memory gets you approximately 900 RAW stills or 6350 JPEGs, 5-minute individual videos in 4K or 25-minute individual videos in 2K, and roughly 110 minutes of total video in 4K or 360 minutes of total video in 2K. Need a comparable camera with a replaceable battery or dedicated memory card slot? We recommend the Ricoh THETA X 360° Camera.
Other Notable Features. The built-in three-axis stabilization helps ensure smooth shots, and there are four built-in mics for high-quality spatial audio capture and seamless transition recording. You also get a range of exposure-control and capture modes. The THETA+ app for iOS and Android lets you edit your photos and video, and you can also use the THETA plugin with Lightroom Classic CC. Ricoh has their own compatible room mapping software called RICOH360 Tours, and the camera can also be used with Matterport softwares that are popular in realty photography and mapping with additional subscription costs required.
