The Rode Stereo VideoMic X is a durable professional-quality microphone that excels in a plethora of situations and environments. Key features include:
Professional-Quality Condenser Capsule. The Rode Stereo VideoMic X uses cardioid polar patterns with a 40 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, giving you a broad frontal range with significant depth. Turn on the three-step high-pass filter (0 Hz, 75 Hz, 150 Hz) to help eliminate low-frequency hums and disturbances.
Connectivity. The VideoMic X also offers two options for outputting audio: a 3.5mm TRS mini-jack and dual-balanced mini-XLR connectors (TA3).
Power Options. The Rode Stereo VideoMic X supports 9-volt batteries and phantom power, and is rated for 30 hours of use on a single 9 V battery. It’s compact enough to be perfectly suitable for onboard use.
Additional Features. This microphone is incredibly durable thanks to its all-metal construction, and it comes equipped with a Rycote Lyre shock mount to reduce vibrations from knocks and bumps. To further improve noise reduction, the mic comes with a pop filter and a windscreen.
