The Rokinon 8mm f/2.8 UMC Fisheye II is an ultra-wide, rectilinear fisheye lens designed for Fuji X-mount cameras. Key features include:
Improved optics and a slightly wider manual focus ring
12mm focal length after sensor crop; 180º angle of view
One-foot minimum focusing distance
Great low-light capability
Update to the Original. Compared to the original Rokinon 8mm f/2.8 UMC Fisheye for Fuji, version II offers improved optics and a slightly wider manual focus ring.
Rectilinear Fisheye. Provides a 180º angle of view that covers the entire image frame. It offers a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 12mm, which makes it great for interiors and architectural photography. Please note this lens is designed for APS-C sensors, so full-frame shooters will want to look elsewhere.
Fast Aperture. Its f/2.8 aperture enables image capture in low light, but you’ll want to stop down a bit to get better corner sharpness.
Optics. Three extra-low dispersion elements and two aspherical elements help to minimize chromatic aberrations and contain distortions that affect image quality. Please understand that there’s still quite a bit of distortion; after all, this is a fisheye lens. The UMC coating combats lens flare and ghosting while improving light transmission.
Fully Manual. This lens provides no electronic communication with the camera. You must manually make all aperture and focus adjustments on the lens itself. The aperture you select won’t be displayed on the camera, and it won’t show up in the EXIF data.
