Reads Virtually All Light Sources. The Sekonic C-800 SpectroMaster Color Meter uses a CMOS linear sensor to measure practically every light source, including flash, LED, HMI, fluorescent, tungsten, and natural light in 1.0 nanometer (nm) output wavelength increments from 380 to 780 nm.
Wide Measurement Range. This color meter offers a wide correlated color temperature range of 1,600 to 40,000K and illuminance range of 1 to 200,000 lux in ambient/constant lighting or 20 to 20,500 lux/sec when measuring flash. This range provides the flexibility and accuracy to measure any light source in any demanding studio or on-location production, whether you’re shooting film or digital.
User-Friendly Design. With a 270° swivel head, dark calibration without cap, and a large 4.3-inch color touch panel LCD, the C-800 is user-friendly to even new users of advanced color meters.
Multiple Display Options. The large touchscreen LCD gives users eleven different display options. The main screen offers quick selection of many of the C-800’s functions, the text screen displays user selected measurement values with real-time updates after each measurement, the CRI screen displays standard color reference values (including R1 thru 15) as a percentage of the light source’s ability to accurately reproduce a color, and the spectrum screen displays the spectral energy distribution of a source in real time. The multi-light screen reads multiple light sources’ color temperatures in addition to light balance and color-compensation recommendation, memorizes them, and lets you compare them.
Supported Measurements. This color meter supports Kelvin (K), Illuminance (lux), LB/CC Filters (for camera lens or lighting filters), LB/CC Index, CRI (Ra, R1 thru. R15) ⊿uv, SSI, TLCI, TM-30-15 (Rf, Rg), CIE1931 (x, y) chromaticity coordinates, Hue, and Saturation.
Extensive Data Storage. You can store up to 99 data measurements in memory.
Tethered Control. The free C-800 Series Utility software provides easy setting adjustment and measurement results in figures and graphs with the ability to save files, all from the computer.
