Supports HSS & Flash Duration Measurements
Frame rates from 1-1000 fps; shutter angles from 1-358°
Expanded light-reading capability
Lumisphere incident meter rotates 180° left and 90° right
Hi-Speed Sync & Flash Duration. The Sekonic Speedmaster L-858D-U is the first of its kind that supports the measurement of stroboscopic pulse firing used in Hi-Speed Sync flash modes. Additionally, it allows for accurate flash duration readings for determining the best setting to achieve a short flash duration for freezing fast-moving subjects.
Spot On and Lumisphere. The Lumisphere receptor head of the L-858D-U can rotate 180° to the left and 90° to the right. The integrated 1° spot meter’s viewfinder is equipped with its own full display.
Expanded Light Readings. The L-858D-U can take incident and reflected light readings of flash and ambient light with an expanded range of -5 to 22.9 EV at ISO 100, or within an illuminance range of 0.1 to 2,000,000 lux. You can adjust the mix, since the LCD shows camera settings and the relationship between flash and ambient light in your exposure.
Cine Settings. You get a comprehensive set of cinema modes that lets you set frame rates from 1-1000 fps and shutter angles from 1-358°. Twenty user-determined settings give you more precise options of 0.001-360° shutter angles and 0.001-99,999.999 fps.
Expanded Shutter-Speed Ranges. These expanded ranges allow for readings between 1/64,000 second to 30 minutes for ambient light and 1/16,000 second to 30 minutes for flash.
Flash Management. Flash exposure can be tracked using the PC sync connector, cordless, or from a radio trigger.
High-Quality Build. The weather-sealed construction makes the L-858D-U good to go in the dust, the mist, and the dirt, while the backlit LCD means you can still read your meter from the shadows. The L-858D-U uses two AA batteries (not included).
