The Sennheiser MD 421-II Microphone is a dynamic cardioid-pattern mic that offers flexible bass control. It’s great for journalists, announcers, DJs, and vocalists, and for miking instruments with high peak response. Key features include:
Accurate low-end response
Dynamic capsule design
Noise-reducing cardioid polar pattern
Five-position bass roll-off switch
Versatile Dynamic Mic. The Sennheiser MD 421-II has a 30 to 17,000 Hz frequency response perfectly suited for broadcasting, singers, and for recording instruments with high transient response. Its dynamic capsule gives you even signal response up close and at reasonable distances alike, making it particularly great for broadcasters who can’t stay perfectly still. The capsule doesn’t require phantom power.
Cardioid Polar Pattern. This mic’s cardioid polar pattern rejects unwanted, off-axis sound and feedback to focus on pickup from the user. The capsule housing ensures low handling noise to further clean up your audio.
Flexible Bass Control. The five-position low-frequency roll-off switch gives you even greater versatility, letting you adjust the bass attenuation to best suit the circumstances under which you’re recording.
XLR Cable Not Included. This rental doesn’t include XLR cables, but we do offer them as separate rental items. We recommend our premium Mogami Gold Studio XLR Female to XLR Male 100-foot or 25-foot cable, but additional lengths are available.
