Working Photographer’s Bread and Butter. When used on a full-frame camera, the Sigma 14-24mm Art provides a fast-aperture, ultra-wide to wide focal range that’s perfect for landscape and architecture photography. Using an APS-C sensor camera? You’ll have a focal length equivalent to 22-38mm. The fast f/2.8 aperture offers shallow depth-of-field capability, as well as allowing you to keep shooting even in low light.
High-Quality Optics. As a part of Sigma’s Art lens line, the 14-24 Art is subjected to rigorous testing to ensure high image quality with a optical build that includes 17 elements in 11 groups. Three aspherical elements help to eliminate distortion and spherical aberrations. Three Special Low Dispersion elements correct for chromatic aberrations and color fringing while ensuring high image sharpness, clarity, and contrast. The Super Multi-Layer Coating minimizes lens flare and ghosting, helping to provide high contrast in strong lighting.
Hyper Sonic Fast Focus. Like Sigma’s other Art lenses, the HSM autofocus system provides fast, smooth, and quiet operation in a broad range of shooting situations. You can also manually override the autofocus motor at any time by rotating the focusing ring, giving you quick fine-tuning ability.
Sigma Dock Compatible. This lens is compatible with the Sigma USB Dock for Canon EF Lenses (separate rental item) at a future date, allowing you to adjust the focus limiter, autofocus speed and micro-focus through the Sigma Optimization Pro software.
Other Notable Features. Sigma’s Art 14-24 is weather sealed, making it dust and splash resistant. It’s made of a Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) material, giving it greater precision and allowing for use in wide array of temperatures. A nine-blade rounded aperture helps make for some creamy, smooth bokeh.
