The variable f/4.5-6.3 aperture may be a tad limiting for low-light shooting, so you’ll get the best performance while shooting in daylight. Using an APS-C camera? You’ll get a focal length equivalent to 96-960mm.
Hyper Sonic Motor Autofocus System. This autofocus system provides fast, accurate, and silent operation in a wide variety of shooting situations. The Autofocus/Manual Focus switch also has a Manual Override position that enables full-time manual focus override for quick fine tuning.
Optical Image Stabilization. The built-in image-stabilization system helps to eliminate up to four stops of camera shake when shooting.
High Image Quality. As a part of Sigma’s Sports line, this lens goes through Sigma’s rigorous A1 testing, ensuring high image quality. Its 19-group/25-element design includes 3 “F” Low-Dispersion elements, which perform equivalently to fluorite and eliminate chromatic aberrations. Meanwhile, 1 Special Low-Dispersion element maximizes image quality.
Professional Build. The lens barrel is constructed of Sigma’s durable Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) material, which ensures minimal shrinkage in extreme conditions.
