Compatible with UWP Series Receivers. Sony UTX-P40 Plug-On Transmitter (UC14) is designed to pair easily with UWP Series receivers like the Sony UWP-D27 Two Channel Wireless Lavalier Mic Kit or a WL-800 Series receiver. Pairing the transmitter with a compatible receiver is as simple as holding the two near each other and pressing the NFC/Sync to find the cleanest RF channel. The bright OLED display allows you to view operating conditions clearly, even in sunlight.
48V Phantom Power. The UTX-P40 Transmitter can provide 48V of phantom power, allowing you to use this transmitter with condenser microphones in addition to shotgun or handheld microphones, without the need for an extra power source. The transmitter offers a 72 MHz bandwidth with 2772 selectable UHF frequencies, and comes with several features to help capture the clearest audio possible, like a low-cut filter to reduce wind and machinery noise, an auto-gain mode to prevent mic distortion and adjust gain levels when the speaker volume is unknown, and a volume boost mode to compensate for more quiet scenarios.
Transmission Range up to 330 Feet. In optimal conditions, the UTX-P40 Transmitter can transmit up to 330 feet, but in real-world scenarios, that range can be impaired, so we’d recommend testing your setup first to ensure there isn’t unnecessary interference. Up to 16 microphones can be operated in one location, and the transmitter can be powered for up to 6 hours via AA batteries, or via USB.
