The Tamron 85mm f/1.8 SP Di VC USD for Canon is a fast-aperture normal-range prime for EF-mount cameras and camcorders that’s great for portraiture, still lifes, and low-light shooting. Key features include:
Fast f/1.8 Aperture Normal Angle. The fast f/1.8 aperture is great in low light, and keeps you shooting everywhere between the dim and the dark. The 85mm focal length offers a slight tele field of view that’s perfect for portrait and still-life photography.
Higher Quality Standards. The 85mm f/1.8 joins Tamron’s prosumer SP (Super Performance) line, meaning that it features improved build and image quality over previous Tamron lenses.
Ring-Type USD Autofocus System. An Ultrasonic Silent Drive motor provides fast, precise, and quiet autofocus performance. It also enables full-time manual focus control without having to shift into a dedicated manual-focus mode.
Built-In VC Image Stabilization. The built-in vibration compensation minimizes the appearance of camera shake for sharper hand-held shooting in low-light conditions.
