Directional Three-Capsule Shotgun Mic. This included SGH-6 mono shotgun mic attaches directly to the Zoom F1-SP’s capsule input, so you don’t need any cables. Its three internal capsules produce a supercardioid polar pattern that gives you focused directionality across the frequency spectrum. Even if you have to step away from your subject to get the right shot, rest assured the SGH-6 is capturing accurate sound.

Configurable Recording Settings. The F1-SP gives you a wide range of recording resolutions from 48 to 320 kb/s MP3s up to 24-bit/96 kHz uncompressed WAVs. A pre-record function captures roughly two seconds of audio before you press the Record button to make sure you don’t miss anything, and a low-cut filter attenuates rumble for the cleanest possible voice recordings.

Anti-Clipping Measures. The F1-SP’s onboard limiter and automatic level control work to keep your input from overloading the A/D converters and prevent distortion and clipping in your files.

Shock Mount Included. The F1-SP includes an SMF-1 shock mount, which prevents unwanted thumping sounds caused by vibrations when you’re shooting on the move. It’s easy to attach to your DSLR.

Record Directly to microSD Cards. The F1-SP lets you record directly to microSD and microSDHC cards for up to 32 GB of storage. You can use MP3s for the most efficient use of space, or use WAVs for industry-standard audio quality and file compatibility.
