Ambisonic audio for VR, AR, and 360-audio productions
Advanced, Budget-Friendly Multitrack Recorder. The Zoom F6 Multi Track Field Recorder is a portable, feature-rich fourteen-track field recorder that’s great for use in the field and on set. It captures crystal-clear clipping-free audio whether you’re using it for sound effects, location sound, or electronic news gathering.
32-Bit Float for Clipping-Free Recordings. The F6 is designed to handle sudden, unexpected shifts in volume in stride without compromising the quality of your captured audio. Its 32-bit float resolution and dual-path A/D converters mean that it’s able to cover the audible spectrum without any digital clipping.
Configurable Recording Settings. The F6 gives you a range of recording modes designed to suit your purposes. You can record all six inputs at the 192 kHz maximum resolution in 24-bit linear or 32-bit float, but Zoom’s dual-path A/D converters also give you the option of recording them simultaneously at up to 96 kHz in 24-bit and 32-bit float while printing a stereo mix.
Ambisonic Support. The F6 lets you record audio in a range of ambisonic formats for VR, AR, and 360-audio productions. The ambisonics mode is versatile, giving you precision A-to-B decoding and balanced gain linking, and the option to use channels 1 to 4 for ambisonic recording while using channels 5 and 6 for other signals like boom or lav mics. You can use the free Zoom Ambisonics Player software to get the most out of the F6’s ambisonic capabilities.
SDXC Card Slot. The single SDXC card slot allows for recording on an SD memory card (separate rental item), with support for SDXC cards up to 512 GB for even longer recording times.
Full-Color LCD. The F6 has a highly visible 1.5-inch full-color backlit LCD that makes leveling and menu navigation quick and simple. A monochromatic mode makes the F6 easy to use in any environment—from low light to direct sunlight.
Three Power Solutions. This recorder can operate on four AA batteries (not included), a Sony L-Series type battery (not included), or a USB Type-C connection.
