g. We were shooting in triple digit weather outdoors in a very dusty environment. It did get hot to the touch because it has a fanless design but it never stopped working. There were a couple days we shot for more than 24 hours straight and it kept working the whole time.
The fanless design was great because there was a lot of dust in the air. The HE has no vents or openings to it’s internals so this was not an issue.
I was impressed by latency and distance. Although we did not have dedicated focus pullers to fully test the Cineview, by my own measurements the latency was low enough to execute focus pulling. Even over long distances the latency remained operable. We mostly connected via wifi and used the low latency signal over the quality/high res signal. You can pick.
The ease of use is probably the best feature. If I ever powered it down when I turned it back on reconnection was fast and automatic. There was maybe only once or twice that we would have back out to the main menu and then tap “monitor” to reconnect.
This size of the transmitter made it easy to mount. We actually used 3M Velcro tape to mount it to the back of the monitor. It looked clean and it was light enough that it did not fall off. Granted, we did not power it using battery power, we powered it using the usb type c port on the Cineview from a v mount. The power draw was marginal. I did not notice a difference in the battery life of my v mount.
All in all it was extremely reliable even in the city where there were a lot of competing frequencies to cause interference. I’ll definitely be buying this. Read Less
