Legendary Canon 300 mm f2.8

I have used this legendary lens multiple times to photograph college football games. It is exemplary in terms of its performance and matchless image quality..This past Saturday I was required to press it significantly beyond its normal distance range and it performed perfectly.

An excellent lens that didn’t quite fit the bill for me

This lens is exceptional. It’s also pretty heavy (not for hand holding - probably this is VERY obvious to most). The fixed focal length was not as useful for me as I would have liked, but the image quality is very, very good. before). I really needed the variability of the 100-400 I usually rent. So, if you’re in a situation where this is a good focal length for you and you have a mono-pod or tripod with a ball head of some kind, I would highly recommend this lens. Read Less
