The used Canon 77D is an upper entry-level DSLR in the Rebel line and more advanced version of the Canon T7i. Key features include:
What’s a 77D? Despite its confusing naming scheme, the 77D represents a middle ground between the entry-level Rebel T7i and the enthusiast-oriented 80D. It’s basically a more feature-rich update of the Canon Rebel T6s.
24.2MP APS-C CMOS Sensor and DIGIC 7 Image Processor. The EOS 77D offers beginners and the budget-minded probably more resolution than they need, but it does give more flexibility for cropping and giant prints. The 24.2MP APS-C crop-frame sensor give you a normal ISO range of 100-25,600, which you can expand to 51,200. The DIGIC 7 image processor helps to keep high ISO noise down and lets you work in a range of lighting conditions. It also gives you a 6 fps continuous shooting rate for capturing fast-moving subjects.
Improved Autofocus Systems. The 77D’s autofocus systems are a marked improvement over the T6s’s. Its 45-point all cross-type phase-detection autofocus system is ideal for still shooting. It functions quickly and precisely, even in less-than-stellar lighting, and its 45 sensors track and maintain focus on moving subjects over a broad area. The Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus system gives you fast, smooth focusing that’s excellent for video and live-view shooting. When shooting video, this mode performs much like a camcorder acquiring focus.
Full HD Video at 60 fps. The 77D offers Full HD 1080p recording at 60 fps in MP4 format with IPB compression, or at 30 fps in MOV format with ALL-I compression for in-camera time-lapse movies. The 77D’s HDR Movie mode is excellent for high-contrast shooting, where it accentuates highlight and shadow detail.
Built-In Electronic Image Stabilization. This camera features Canon’s Movie Electronic IS system which helps to eliminates camera shake when you’re shooting hand-held
Other Notable Features. The built-in Wi-Fi with NFC lets you easily share photos and movies to linked mobile devices. The 3-inch, 1.04m-dot touchscreen LCD gives you easy operation, while the top LCD lets you quickly adjust shooting settings. The 7,560-pixel RGB+IR metering sensor contributes to autofocus, color tracking, and exposure-metering performance, and you have access to a broad range of preset Picture Style modes. The camera records images and video to SDHC/XC memory cards, and the LP-E17 battery is rated for approximately 820 shots per charge.
