Please Note: Automatic geotagging is available when shooting with the Canon EOS 1DX, 5D Mark III, and newer cameras. It’s also available when using the Canon EOS 7D with the following limitations:
- Geotagging function will not work for movies while recording
- Geotagging features will not work for movies when using the Map Utility
- Electronic compass information and automatic time setting are not available
- Transmission via the hot shoe is not possible
If you’re using any other Canon EOS camera, only post-shoot manual geotagging from logging information is possible.
