This lens is fully compatible with the 1.4x teleconverter. If you’re using the 1.4x teleconverter with this lens, it’ll only autofocus on 1D-series cameras with an extender mounted. If you’re using this lens with the 2x teleconverter, autofocus is not guaranteed, even on 1D bodies. Some users report that center-point autofocus may work in bright light.
