The NX1 is Samsung’s flagship enthusiast-level NX-mount mirrorless camera. Key features include:
28.2MP BSI APS-C CMOS Sensor. The Samsung NX1’s large backside-illuminated sensor means it produces high-resolution images with great low-light performance and minimal noise.
4K Video. The NX1 offers 4K video capture at 24 fps, UHD video at 30 fps, and 1080p Full HD video at up to 60 fps. It uses the HEVC (H.265) compression for maximizing in-camera capture quality, while you can use the Micro-HDMI connection to externally record uncompressed 4:2:2 (8-bit) 4K video.
Hybrid Autofocus and Performance. The advanced autofocus system features 205 phase-detection and 209 contrast-detection autofocus points that nearly cover the sensor for extremely fast, accurate performance. In terms of speed, the NX1 offers 15 fps burst shooting with continuous autofocus and a 1/8000th second maximum shutter speed for sports and action capture.
Build Quality and Other Notables. The magnesium-alloy body offers dust- and water-resistant weather-sealing for shooting in less-than-ideal conditions. The integrated 2360k-dot XGA OLED electronic viewfinder provides an eye-level live preview of what you’re shooting, and the 3.0-inch, 1036k-dot tilting touchscreen rear LCD also helps you frame shots, review images, and adjust options. There’s a USB 3.0 connection for fast wired image transfer, or you can transfer and control wirelessly thanks to the built-in 802.11b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 technology. Images and video are recorded to SDHC and XC memory cards, with full support for the faster UHS-II memory cards.
