The Fuji X-M5 is a powerful and compact crop-sensor camera that is positioned as a vlogging camera for beginners without sacrificing a lot of pro-level specs. Key features include:

For Ambitious Creators on the Move. Despite its small footprint, the Fuji X-M5 packs a heavy punch with 6.2K video capture, robust audio settings, 13+ stops of dynamic range, and AI processing technology. Equipped with the same AI-driven subject detection as the X100 VI and XT50 cameras, the X-M5 can automatically detect a wide range of subjects, from drones to insects. The X-M5 is also the first X-series camera to include three internal microphones with special modes including Surround, Front Priority, Back Priority, and Front & Back Priority. This makes capturing crystal-clear sound attainable for even the most novice vlogger.

Custom Creative Control. Access 20 film simulations via a dedicated dial as well as a Grain Effect mode for replicating the distinct look of older high-ISO films. Color Chrome and Color Chrome Blue are available to deepen overall color, tone, and gradation. Portrait Enhancer smooths skin while Background Defocus will blur the background for greater emphasis on your subject. Combine these features for a look that is all your own.

Set Up for Social. Create short clips with the Short Movie Mode that captures in 9:16 vertical formatting. Offload your files quickly to a smartphone using a USB connection and the XApp. You have the option of working with super-small video files with low bitrates – ideal for getting fast results that need to be reviewed easily on a phone while on location. This camera is truly designed for the quick-content age.

Exceptional Portability. By omitting a viewfinder and pop-up flash (this camera has a tilting LCD and hot shoe only), the X-M5 is able to stay pocket-sized while still being an interchangeable-lens system with useful ports, like USB-C, 3.5mm mic jack, and micro-HDMI (capable of 6.2K RAW out). It maintains the sleek and retro look of Fuji’s other X-series bodies and can take full advantage of Fuji’s extensive line of X-mount lenses. To maintain portability, this camera pairs best with “pocketable” lenses such as the XF 27mm f/2.8 R WR and the XF 18mm f/2 R.
