While we no longer rent this product, we do carry the Fuji X-T3. You may also find alternatives in the Recommended section on the left-hand side of this page.
16MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS II sensor
Fast, accurate autofocus
Large 0.77x electronic viewfinder
Extensive manual controls for ease of use
The Fuji X-T1 is a semi-pro level mirrorless camera with a strong SLR-style design. Key features include:
Classic SLR Design. The X-T1 is all digital, but features all the controls and dials you’d find on a classic film SLR for a fully manual experience. For those who don’t want quite that much control, there’s aperture and shutter priority, and full auto modes. The X-T1 features a centered EVF similar to a DSLR, rather than the rangefinder-offset EVF found on its brother, the X-E2.
16MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS II Sensor. The X-T1 uses the same sensor from the X-E2 and X100s, providing high-resolution images with stellar low-light performance. The on-sensor phase-detection autofocus system gives you fast performance with tracking ability to boot. It offers a maximum of 8 fps continuous shooting for up to 47 frames. The normal sensitivity range spans ISO 100-51,200 and actually produces usable results at those sensitivities.
Best-In-Class Electronic Viewfinder. The X-T1 boasts a 0.77x viewfinder—the largest on a digital camera at the time of its release. In addition to the standard full EVF, it has a clever side-by-side dual mode for manual focusing, and the Digital Split Image technology seen in the previous-generation cameras. There’s also a large 3.0-inch tilting rear LCD for image composition and review.
Full HD Movie Recording. It’s no surprise that the X-T1 features Full HD 1080p video recording at up to 60 fps. Key video features include full-time autofocus tracking during recording, +/- 2 EV exposure compensation, Film Simulation settings, and a 2.5mm external mic input.
Wi-Fi and Other Notable Features. You can wirelessly trigger and transmit images using a smart device and the free Fujifilm Camera App, and you can also automatically back up images to a connected computer. The great Film Simulation modes are there for those who have a preferred film signature. If art modes are your thing, there’s a variety to choose from. The X-T1 has an integrated intervalometer for time-lapse creation, and a removable accessory flash for quick fill. The camera records images to SDHC/XC memory cards and is rated for about 350 shots per charge using the rechargeable battery.
There are widespread reports of light-leak issues when shooting long exposures with a strong directional light source at ISO H1 and H2 or with the mic/USB/HDMI input door open. We have copies of this cameras that are affected, but you won’t be affected as long as you’re not shooting long exposures with that door open. If you find yourself shooting long exposures at ISO H1 or H2 with strong directional light aimed at the side of the camera, you’re probably doing something wrong anyway.
