The Halumin H18 Open Cylindrical Lighting Modifier is a compact and simple modifier solution that allows professional photographers to work quicker and amateurs to get professional looking shots the first time around. Key features include:
Compact and Quick. The Halumin H18 Open Cylindrical Lighting Modifier transforms before your eyes from a backpack sized ring to the lighting solution of your dreams. This unit is the absolute first of it’s kind, and is a great option for amateurs and professionals alike. This modifier sets up in minutes, and when used with the separately available Accessory Legs, can be perfect for food or product photography.
Open Cylindrical Lighting. Your setup deserves decent and easy lighting, which is why Halumin incorporated an open cylindrical design into this modifier. This feature reshapes the light from your favorite flash or Chip on Board (COB) lights and surrounds your subject with an even narrow cylinder of light, while it simultaneously flags the light off of your background and camera lens, creating a narrow staging area for your subjects to shine. Move your subject away from the camera and the light gets softer, move it towards the camera the textural details become more pronounced, move it towards the camera and in front of the Halumin staging area and you have seamless rim lighting. No resetting lighting stands, reflectors, flags and softboxes to achieve different looks.
Tactile Control. Tactile light forming is also included in Halumin’s patent pending design, which consists of light control rings that are incorporated to make it easy to fine tune your lighting compositions. Simply fold areas of the ring outward where you want more light on your subject or keep them facing inward to maintain an even layer of light.
Light Your Options. This rental is compatible with a variety of light fixtures like speedlights that are 70 watts or higher, strobes up to 500 watts, and continuous LED lighting that produce 5400lux at 3.3 feet (around 120 watts in most cases). Please note that studio strobes up to 500ws are ideal. Continuous LED lighting should be limited to fixtures that produce 5400lux @ 1meter (around 120 watts in most cases) to prevent heat damage.
