A Glimpse Inside. A well-rounded bundle for portrait photographers, the Hasselblad X2D 100C Lightweight Portrait Kit is a medium format mirrorless camera kit combining the X2D 100C camera body with the XCD 45mm f/4 P prime lens and the XCD 80mm f/1.9 prime lens.
Hassel-Free Imaging The Hasselblad X2D 100C Medium Format Mirrorless has a few substantial improvements over its predecessor, including a new, higher-performance 100MP BSI CMOS sensor; a faster, more powerful processor; an all-new image-stabilization system; updated displays; and an enhanced OLED electronic viewfinder. The new 100MP BSI CMOS sensor gives the X2D 100C an extremely wide 15-stop dynamic range, while its back-illuminated design ensures low-noise performance. The sensor features 16-bit color depth that delivers up to 281 trillion colors, and it works in tandem with Hasselblad’s Natural Color Solution system to produce lifelike, detailed skin tones and tonal transitions. Its sensitivity ranges all the way from ISO 64 up to 25,600.
Phase-Detection Autofocus and Stabilization. According to Hasselblad, the newly designed phase-detection autofocus system uses 294 points that cover 97% of the sensor to facilitate fast, highly accurate performance with the push of a button. On top of that, an updated electronic platform gives you a speedy 3.4 fps continuous shooting rate to capture fast-moving subjects in busy environments. The X2D 100C’s five-axis seven-stop in-body image-stabilization system compensates for five different types of camera shake when you’re shooting stills, and it substantially reduces motion blur at slower shutter speeds.
Built-In SSD and Viewfinder. This camera includes a built-in 1 TB SSD with a 2370 MB/s write speed, which lets you store roughly 4600 RAW photos or 13,800 JPEGs. There’s also a CFexpress Type B card slot with a 512 GB capacity in case you need even more storage, and the X2D’s high-speed storage capabilities let you shoot 16-bit RAW images over a sustained time period in Continuous Drive Mode. Among the X2D 100C’s myriad improvements over its predecessor are two upgraded displays and an enhanced OLED EVF. The 3.6-inch, 2.36m-dot tilting rear touchscreen has firm stops at 40° and 70° to the body and is great for image composition and low-angle shooting. A full-color top display gives you a fast, clear way to check your shutter, aperture, and ISO settings while you’re shooting without having to refer to the rear touchscreen. The improved 5.76m-dot OLED EVF offers 1.0x magnification, boasts a new electronic diopter-adjustment function, and increases contrast when you’re shooting in direct sunlight and low light to give you the clearest, sharpest view possible.
Other Notable Features. Despite its larger-than-life imaging capabilities, the X2D 100C keeps a svelte figure, weighing in at just under 2 lbs. Since this camera is meant to be travel-friendly, it’s optimized for use with the Hasselblad XCD lens system. Finally, weather and dust sealing keeps you shooting in all sorts of hostile environments. The X2D 100C uses a standard Nikon hot shoe adapter with support for Nikon SB Speedlight flashes and Profoto A1, B1, and B2 flashes for Nikon, and can flash sync down to 1/4000 of a second. It has a USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C connector that’s great for file transfer; tethered shooting; and in-camera battery charging via computer, charger, or power bank. Built-in Wi-Fi allows for file sharing and remote shooting using the Hasselblad Phocus Mobile 2 iOS app.
XCD 45mm f/4 P. With a focal length equivalent to 36mm after sensor-crop factor, the Hasselblad XCD 45mm f/4 P is great for landscape, street, and general-purpose photography. The 45mm f/4’s autofocus system fast and nearly silent, while its 1.1-foot minimum focusing distance lets you get in close. For even greater accuracy, there’s full-time manual focusing via a highly responsive mechanical focus ring. Hasselblad has designed the XCD lenses to be paired perfectly with X-series cameras. It has a compact form factor, internal focusing, a Central Lens Shutter system that can sync up to 1/2000 of a second, and an optical formula that features nine elements in seven groups.
XCD 80mm f/1.9. With a focal length equivalent to 63mm after sensor-crop factor and a two-foot minimum focusing distance, the 80mm F1.9 is great for portraiture, nature photography, and product photography. The XCD 80mm includes an internal autofocusing system for fast, accurate performance. You can manually override the autofocus at any time for even greater precision. The XCD 80mm f/1.9’s fourteen-element/nine-group optical formula provides high sharpness and color accuracy while combating aberration and distortions. Hasselblad has designed the XCD lens to pair perfectly with the X1D and X2D cameras. It has a smaller form factor, internal focusing, and a Central Lens Shutter system that can sync up to 1/2000 of a second.
