Advanced Optical Design. The Leica 10×42 Geovid HD-R 2700 Rangefinder Binocular combines Leica’s Perger-Porro prism optical design; an internal stray-light suppressing baffle system; and a system of fully multicoated HDC glass elements to maximize light transmission, contrast, and color fidelity for superlative image quality.
Laser Rangefinder. This binocular’s range-finding system uses an inclinometer to measure your relative angle to your subject and a powerful—but eye-safe!—infrared laser to help you easily locate your subject.
Ultra Wide-Angle Viewing. The Leica 10×42 offers an ultra-wide 70º apparent angle of view, a 374-foot field of view at 1000 yards, 10x magnification, and 42mm objective lenses.
Ease of Use. The 10×42’s center focus wheel is slip-resistant for maximum precision, even while wearing gloves. Twist-up, four-position, click-stop rubber eyecups let you use this binocular with or without eyewear, and ±4 dioptric correction lets you keep things sharp even if you’re compensating for an optical prescription.
Durable, Waterproof Construction. An open-bridge/dual-hinge helps keep this binocular relatively lightweight while still sufficiently supporting the rangefinder and internal-focusing system. The durable magnesium alloy housing is covered in a protective rubber exterior that provides shock and impact resistance, and it’s nitrogen-filled and o-ring sealed to be fog-resistant, waterproof, and submersible down to 16.5 feet.
