Excellent value
The OM-D E-M10 is Olympus’s entry-level OM-D Micro 4/3 camera. Key features include:
Full-Featured Camera on a Budget. The E-M10 is a budget-friendly camera that shares many features with the popular Olympus OM-D E-M5. It offers the same 16.1MP sensor with ISO sensitivity range of 200-25,600, built-in 1.44MP electronic viewfinder (EVF), and very similar body types. It also includes the quick and accurate FAST autofocus system.
Key Differences. Building on the E-M5, the E-M10 offers a higher-resolution tilting rear LCD, improved EVF auto-brightness for better performance in sunlight, and a built-in pop-up flash. Its three-axis image stabilization system is a step down from the E-M5’s, and it lacks that camera’s weather sealing.
Built-In Wi-Fi. The useful Wi-Fi system is carried down from the flagship OM-D E-M1, allowing image transfer and camera control from compatible smart devices.
Familiar Controls. The controls and customization are very similar to that of the the E-M5’s, giving advanced users the ability to tweak the EM10 to their liking. There’s a wide variety of picture modes for novice users, as well as in-camera HDR and interval shooting for those who want to experiment. Since the flash is built into the camera, it has a slightly lower battery rating of 320 shots per charge. Images are recorded to SDHC/XC memory cards.
