The Nikon MB-D12 Battery Grip w/EN-EL18a Option provides additional battery power to the Nikon D800, D800E, D810, and D810a cameras. Key features include:
Nikon EN-EL18 Option. This version of the MB-D12 grip includes the BL-5 battery cover that lets you use the higher-capacity Nikon EN-EL18a battery. We also include the MH-26 for charging the EN-EL18a.
Increased FPS in DX Mode. With this version, maximum continuous shooting is increased to 8 fps in DX crop mode. It doesn’t increase the speed in FX mode.
Added Stability. This grip offers a more stable and secure hold on the D800, D800E, D810, or D810a, making it easier to hand-hold at lower shutter speeds.
Improved Ergonomics. The MB-D12 also serves as a vertical grip, making it popular with portrait and event photographers. It adds an additional shutter-release button, an AE/AF lock button, a multi-selector, and main- and sub-command dials
Need Additional Batteries? This rental includes one EN-EL18a battery and one MH-26a charger in addition to the EN-EL15 battery that comes with the D800, D800E, D810, or D810a you’re renting. Please Note: This is not the standard MB-D12 battery grip option. With this version, you receive one EN-EL18a battery and one MH-26a charger in place of the standard EN-EL15 battery and MH-25 charger. If you want those components, you want this grip.
