The Nikon Z 50mm f/1.4 is a Z-mount, full-frame, normal-view prime that is optimized for gimbal use as well as everyday shooting. Key features include:

Nikon Z Mount. The Nikon Z 50mm f/1.4 belongs to Nikon’s advanced Z series, which offers a wide-diameter mount that allows Z lenses to sit close to a Z mirrorless camera’s sensor for reduced aberrations, increased sharpness, and better light-gathering abilities. The thin flange distance makes it possible for Nikon to deliver top-of-the-line optics inside smaller and lighter cameras and lenses.
Travel-Friendly Video/Photo Hybrid. This lens’s normal-view length is ideal for everyday shooting and is a classic choice for portraits and street photography. It is also optimized for stable use with a gimbal.
Features that Benefit Videographers. With a noiseless stepper (STM) autofocus motor, suppressed focus breathing, and the option for linear manual focus in select cameras, the Nikon Z 50mm f/1.4 is a great, portable option for vlogging, b-footage, and events.
Configurable Control Ring. Take exposure control into your hands, literally, with the Nikon Z 50mm f/1.4 on-barrel control ring. This clickless ring can be customized to a setting of your choice: shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and exposure compensation. This can be changed in the Custom Functions menu of a Z-series camera. This is a great feature for settings you access most frequently.
Try it with These Z-Mount Cameras. The portable nature of this lens makes it a great option for shooters on the go and pairs well with slightly more compact cameras like the Nikon Z8 and the Nikon Zf. However, this full-frame lens is a great option for video while traveling and would be at home with cameras like the Nikon Z6 II, which is rich in video features. It can also be used with any Z-series, Z-mount camera. On a cropped-sensor (APS-C) Z camera, this lens produces an effective range of approximately 75mm.
