Q & A

Does this lens provide electronic communication with the camera?

This lens is chipped, but auto exposure doesn’t work with every camera. The D3X00 series and D5X00 series will only work with the camera set to manual exposure. With the D7X00 series and the D500, you get full auto-exposure capabilities and aperture control through the camera. Some older models are also compatible, like the D300 and D90.

Is this lens compatible with full-frame cameras?

No, this lens only works with crop-sensor DX cameras, such as the D3500, D5600, and D7200.

Am I guaranteed to get the Rokinon version of this lens?

We send out the Rokinon and Samyang versions of this lens interchangeably. They’re identical, save for the brand names printed on them.
