The Rokinon 24mm T1.5 Cine DSX is a fully manual wide-angle cine prime designed for Canon EF-mount cameras. Key features include:
Great depth-of-field control and low-light capability
Advanced optical design for high-quality images
Stepless, 0.8 pitch gear aperture and focus rings
Multi-layer coating to reduce flare and ghosting
Fast Wide-Angle Cine Prime. The Rokinon 24mm T1.5 Cine DSX offers full-frame coverage, giving you a budget-friendly wide-angle cine lens. It provides an 84.1° angle of view on full-frame Canon EF-mount cameras. Its fast T1.5 aperture allows for depth-of-field control and low-light shooting flexibility, its 9.8-inch minimum focusing distance lets you get in close, and its 9-blade iris lets you create a unique 18-ray sunburst when you’re stopped all the way down.
Advanced Optical Design. This lens’s twelve-group/thirteen-element design includes hybrid aspherical elements that minimize distortion and chromatic aberrations while ensuring sharpness across the frame. The multi-layer coating improves light transmission, thereby reducing lens flare and ghosting.
Fully Manual. This lens provides no electronic communication with the camera. You must manually make all aperture and focus adjustments on the lens itself. The aperture selected will not be displayed on the camera, and it won’t show up in the EXIF data.
Cine Build. The stepless, 0.8 pitch gear aperture and focus rings allow you to use follow focus without the need for clunky gears. Lateral aperture and distance markings make it easy to pull aperture and focus from either side. A removable petal-shaped hood combats flare when you’re shooting without a matte box, and the 24mm’s threaded front accepts a 77mm filter ring.
Cine DSX Quality and Consistency. Each lens in the Cine DSX series shares common focus and iris gear ring positions, enabling quick and easy lens change when using a follow focus. A multi-layer coating process offers color matching across the Cine DSX line for consistent results regardless of focal length.
