Why is my source sound delayed?

If you are using software with active monitoring, it could interfere with the X2u’s internal monitoring processor. To achieve zero latency monitoring, it is recommended to disable monitoring in third party software.

How do I get my computer see the mic input?

If using a Mac computer, open the Sound Preference Window from System Preferences and select Shure Digital for both the input and output.
If using a Windows computer, open Sounds and Audio Devices from the Control Panel, click the Audio tab, and select Shure Digital in the drop-down menu.

Can this be used to power a mic?

Yes! This adapter provides +48V phantom power at the touch of a button.
Please note, this adapter draws power from your computer’s USB port, powering a microphone in addition to the adapter could impact your computer’s battery performance.
